A Look Inside the Clinic

Private Practice
Proudly partnered with the
OakLeaf Medical Network of physicians
Spears Pain & Rehab is 100% owned and operated by Dr Spears. The practice opened its doors to see patients April 1st, 2024. The interior of the clinic was designed by Dr Spears and his family with themes of comfort, safety, and accessibility. In 2026, Spears Pain & Rehab is transitioning to "Doing Business As" Spears Nerve and Muscle to better meet the community needs.
"I want this clinic to be a place of joy and inspiration. I hired staff who share my same passion and enjoyment for helping patients living with pain and disability. In a medical system that is daunting and overwhelming, we must prioritize smiles and humor."
2026 Transition
Same practice - new name:
Spears Nerve and Muscle will be Spears Pain & Rehab "Doing Business As" Spears Nerve and Muscle.
We evolved from a general Pain & Rehab physiatry practice to focus on Nerve and Muscle diagnostics and interventions, responding to our regional community healthcare deficit. For instance, the average patient in western Wisconsin has to wait 6-8 weeks to get an EMG (nerve test) done. We perform EMGs daily with 100% of the test by an experienced and board certified physiatrist; no technologist. Another major issue in our community, as with many others, are misdiagnosed and undiagnosed adult onset myopathies and neuropathies either never quantified by electrodiagnostic testing or having had the wrong nerves tested. Lack of improvement implies either:
1. An established degenerative / incurable disease state vs
2. Misdiagnosis. Far to often have we seen misdiagnosis in our area to continue to let this go unaddressed.
