Overview
An EMG combined with nerve conduction studies (NCS) evaluates how well your nerves and muscles are communicating. Rather than running a fixed panel of tests, Dr. Spears tailors each study to your specific symptoms and exam findings — the approach recommended by the American Association of Neuromuscular & Electrodiagnostic Medicine (AANEM) for the highest sensitivity and specificity.

What to Expect
Treatment is delivered in the office in brief sessions, typically over a series of visits. Most patients tolerate ESWT well, with only mild discomfort during treatment and little to no downtime afterward.
